What Is 4 Block 4 Weeks?
Our annual 4 Blocks in 4 Weeks event is a street cleaning initiative that brings the community together for four consecutive weeks each April. Last year’s event had to be canceled, but fortunately this year we are bringing it back! There will be food, giveaways, a DJ, resources, and plenty of opportunities to volunteer and connect with one another! Each block is preselected through nominations made by Philadelphia community members for various reasons. This year some of the reasons shared included children needing a clean place to play, neighbors deserving a clean space, increased populations of older adults unable to get out and perform street cleanings, and more! We are excited to work with our volunteers to declutter, clean, and create a more inviting and habitable environment.
How You Can Help

There are many ways to help make this event possible! You can sign up to volunteer with us on any or all of the events, visit our AmazonSmile request list for supplies needed, or help us spread the word. The main way we call on our community other than volunteers is in the form of donations and there are several ways to support The Block. If you’d like to help us help someone else, please use the link below to donate - anything & everything helps.
For “4 Blocks in 4 Weeks” we will accept donations at The Block Shop at 6831 Torresdale Avenue. Specifically, we’re looking for the following items for this April and future Spring events:
