Shop With Sean

We are asking interested individuals to sign up for our "Shop With Sean" Classes coming soon. The classes and events will be held at Cohocksink Recreation Center (2901 Cedar St, Philadelphia, PA 19134).  A variety of events will be offered educating individuals on different tools and what they are utilized for, basic household techniques and skills, and woodshop classes. Additionally, a six-week program will be hosted for the youth aged 14-24 giving them the opportunity to work with other like-minded individuals to learn skills and build knowledge that will help them with future endeavors. The Shop Classes will be taught by our board member, Sean, who is a skilled carpenter that wishes to share this knowledge.

The main way we call on our community other than volunteers is in the form of donations and there are several ways to support The Block. For “Shop With Sean” we accept donations at The Block Shop at 6831 Torresdale Avenue. Specifically, we’re looking for the following items and take donations all year round:

  • Sand Paper

  • Tape Measures

  • Screw Drivers

  • Pliers

  • Nails / Screws / Hardware
